Monthly Challenge – mobile phonography! – Los Angeles Photographer

Is it time to post again?! July feels like it flew by, and, at the same time, like it’s been forever long. Our family has been out and about this past month, and tomorrow I take the children overseas to visit family and friends for 6 weeks! Luckily, all this movement has given me the chance to practice my iphonography in different settings and, as you may have figured out, I’ve been instagramming more and more and using my big camera less and less.

Using my phone has been a really great challenge, and if I think about it, learning to take good photos with my phone has really helped me to develop my style and set up my compositions differently. The thrill of wanting to capture a special moment is the same, but now I try to compose those shots with a little more thought to presentation. It has been a lot of fun and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon!

As my plane leaves in a few hours, I need to be quick and will leave the images to speak for themselves!

And now continue through our circle and check out Lisa Rappa’s phonography here!

Are you freaking kidding me??? I’m going to beg you to post these full-size so we can enjoy each one in its entirety. Wow, chica… your images are amazing!!! Your eye for composition is spot-on and you have some pretty incredible artistic shots in here too. 3, 5, and 9 have such awesome perspectives. You really get a sense of how small your kids are. 11 and 12 fascinate me… you should totally submit those to a gallery or something. Very cool. My fave is the bird shot, 7… I was like, “Is that for real???” What a capture. WOW! Well done!ReplyCancel
