A Start

Home again. The kids and I were overseas for the entire month of September and have been home a week tonight. The only signs now that we were gone for so long are my forlorn garden beds and the foot-high stack of junk mail I have yet to sift and shred through. A friend asked when my next blog post would be and I could only answer her “I don’t know what to write about.”

Of course, if you could hear the chatter spewing inside my mind, you would think I lie and am just lazy. Alas, I don’t have the energy just yet to mentally edit, trash, refine and clarify that chatter. Not to mention it would probably just bore you.

So, I will leave you with a few pictures from the beginning of our trip.

These are my “Auntie” Zita’s children, Janka and Benedek, along with mine. Isabel took a very quick liking to both of them and has learned to say,  and still says in memory of them, “Jaj! jaj!” and “Na, na!” It was pretty funny to hear Isabel and Janka speak to each other in their respective languages as if they could understand each other. I hope they both learned at least a little.

Janka was much more willing to let me take pictures of her.

Eating grapes in my Grandma’s backyard. They pretty much stripped all the vines.

Our little dictator has become a tyrant. So, despite his good looks and charm I am planning a coup d’etat.

And when you wrote that, I was thinking: Um, you just spent a MONTH in Magyarorszag, surely you would have plenty to write about!! How were the flights? how did the kids adjust to the time, the language, to the relatives, to being away from home so long??…Did you go sight seeing? Were you ready to come home or were you wanting to stay longer?…
Then I thought, knowing you, you’re still trying to perfect your words, pictures etc,…Or maybe you just didn’t want to share as much publicly, and would rather shared in person 🙂 You wouldn’t be boring me! Plus, I thought you would want to do a post on your trip- To Remember! 😀ReplyCancel
