Kedves Mommam!

Welcome home and Happy Mother’s Day, Momma!

Nagyi and Isabel

I wish I had the perfect words, Momma. Somehow they would describe the tender love I have for you.

Now that I am also a “Momma” I see living, loving and giving through eyes like yours. Your wisdom, your nurturing and your sacrifices have left prints on my soul that I will cherish always. Even as a nearly 30 year old I love to hear your advice, feel your hugs and have your help.

Even now, if I am sick, I want my Momma. To me you are safety, reassurance, warmth, gentleness, and love. Plus, I always get a pot of your yummy chicken soup!

Watching you with Rozika and Tomcsi is a priceless treat; you get to enjoy the fruits of all your labor! I hope that I will be the Momma to my kids that you are to me.

Szeretlek szep anyukam!

Here is a little poem for you; I am sure you know it.

Ajándékul adott téged az Isten,
Ahogy földnek adta a napot;
Aranynál is drágább vagy nékem,
Az Úrnak érted hálát adok.

Nyári tűzben vagy a fagyos télben,
Nyomodban mindig virág fakad:
Nyugalmat találok közeledben,
Nyereség nekem minden szavad.

Áldom Istent érted éjjel-nappal,
Áldozatot nem felejtem el;
Átadom most e pár virágszállal,
Átadom, mit szó sem mondhat el.

(Gerzsenyi Laszlo: Anyam)
