Every Day Moments – April – Los Angeles Photographer

It feels like we’ve been all over the place lately. Visiting friends and in-laws, going on field trips, celebrating birthdays and Easter. It’s been full of wonderful memories, crazy moments, and beautiful life. Instagram has dominated once again – it comes in handy when you are running here, running there, and running almost everywhere!

Isabel is filling in her big sister role so nicely! She helps me with her baby sister (and tries changing her diapers), does dishes (to impress Daddy when he comes home from traveling), makes her own breakfasts (“Mom, the water is bubbling very hard now!” – wait, that may have been Little Man), and looks way too old for her age. She’s turning into quite the swimmer (more on that later) and quite the enthusiastic reader. I love it when she sits down and reads her Dr. Seuss books to Thomas.

Ilus budded her first teeth a few weeks ago. Neither Isabel nor Thomas suffered the gum-wrenching pain she seems to be going through (and I was not prepared for her sleepless nights and constant discomfort!) She wants so badly to play with her sister and brother. She’s cruising all over the place having me wonder whether she will walk sooner than her siblings. She has 3 more months to practice! Since we’ve started feeding her all the food that we eat, she’s become a munching fiend. I do believe she is packing on some pounds and really starting to hold her own.

Our boy got his very first real boy haircut. He melts my heart with those eyes. It seems no matter how many activities I line up for him I cannot tire out this little tasmanian devil. He’s started swim lessons and loves his gymnastics class. I cannot wait for soccer to start for him – no daily 2-hour practices?!

For Easter we were kept busy with neighborhood egg hunts, dinner parties, a superman birthday dinner and Easter dinner, too. We hosted them all – phew! The morning after Easter I was looking for some hard-boiled eggs to eat and of the 60 could not find a single one. Where did they all go? When I found not one empty colored egg tray, but two empty colored egg trays I could only guess that our poor dog ate them all. Gulp! In one night. I wonder if she suffered any indigestion. That or some large Templetons came to visit us.

My hubby is no longer a palindrome – soon that will be my title to hold – and we celebrated with a little dinner party. He is most definitely our Superman over here: he is tireless in working for his family, helping me out with the kids and helping everyone around him. So, I thought it would be cute to have us all wear these shirts to let him know just what I think of him. And he was kind enough to humor me with some Superman poses with his family. Doesn’t he make a handsome Craig Kent?

Until the next update! Please continue and visit Kimberly Skeen’s every day moments here.

These are all wonderful Andrea! I especially love the last one. It is just a simple moment of eating icecream, but it just epitomizes childhood. It will be so fun to look back on that one as the kids get older!ReplyCancel
