Happy New Year to my family and friends!
I am super bummed that we did not get our Christmas cards out this year. This year I don’t have an excuse, we just didn’t make time for it. So then we told ourselves we’d make a New Year card (and it is still a possibility!) but it’s not looking good. Several ideas have run through my head on how to do our family shot but none are panning out.
Yesterday we ran out the door with one hour of light left in an attempt to execute this elaborate idea I had in my head. I did not think it was elaborate until hubby saw me struggling and told me so. Sigh. So we finished off with a few images like the ones below. Let’s just say I had a bit of whimsy in mind.
Of course, since we were out there, we had to get at least one family shot (my plan did not have all of us together, at least not all in one piece) and can you believe a bloody security guard chased me out because I was using a tripod!?! Perhaps next time we will try a quad-pod. I wonder if the guard hired to not use his brains but to follow stupid orders would let that one slide. Bloody useful idiot.
