Monthly Challenge – Through Glass

I dream of a slower world: time to read, time to reflect, time to soak in. All the things that keep me connected to the outer world are the same things that seem to usurp what I feel is such little time. I want more time to observe the nuances of my children’s personalities without the pressure to capture this moment, or teach that lesson, or make this deadline.

At the same time, it is these pressures that keep me moving forward and chugging through each day. And in some strange way, these same pressures have me searching for creative ways to capture this moment, teach that lesson and make this deadline. Now if only I could learn how to manage my time a little more efficiently and execute the myriad ideas rolling around in my head. If any of you have tips, please pass them along!

And to make a long story short, I was so inspired by this month’s theme of shooting through glass and had a few ideas I wanted to try. Alas, April snuck out through my back door and I’m afraid I did not find a way to explore the ideas… just yet.

But it is not a total loss: below, a few spur of the moment captures when glass confronted me.

Here is an old one I took of my sister last year. The rain inspired this shot.

You rocked this theme Andrea! Love all of them, but I especially love the first and the last photos. The last one is so moody and love the focus on the eye!ReplyCancel
