Like a whisper among screams
She calms my frazzled soul.
And when she can she soothes herself,
Even with just her toes.
Her searching grasp with fingers light
Are soft against my skin.
Her lips that curl in sweet delight
Beg me to bring her in.
Into my arms a warm embrace
that always ends in laughs,
Please, my God, please slow down the pace
and let the moments last.
With eyes that twinkle and coos that speak
To let me know her needs,
Tiny tears roll down her soft cheek;
A worried look that pleads:
Hold me near, against your chest,
Let me lay my hand there.
To cradle this love, Mom knows best,
A gift with me He shared.
Here is my cup overflowing.
To look on her is love.
Her soft face and smile both glowing
For me, gift from above.
We are beyond grateful to have our wonderful old friends, the Millers, be her godparents. And I’m so happy to have captured her in this family heirloom baptismal gown – her great grandfather’s! My vision was to capture the soft, flowing and fragile texture of the batiste and the details of the lace. It wasn’t easy with a baby who wouldn’t stop moving in a low-light setting. But I think they turned out wonderfully and will cherish these, for sure!
OMG it is so beautiful, angelic. She is gorgeous. And I love you processing on these, just goes so well with the theme.
These are great. I really love the toes pic.
OK-so that last comment was meant for you previous post. But oh my gosh what a little cherub. Your pics are dreamy looking.
Beautiful words and wonderful images of an amazing little girl.
So very precious! She is a doll ♥ I’m sure you will cherish these forever!
Absolutely gorgeous!
